نوشتن ایمیل فکر بسیار خوبی است،
روی یک نوشته میتوانیم موافقت کنیم و بفرستیم.
ایمیل کوتاهی که من نوشتم این است:
Subject: Request for Translation
Hello Mr. Hitchens,
We are some Persian fans of yours, and we all have liked one of the well and admirably good written books of yours so much -- God is not Great --, that we've decided to take the effort and translate it into our mother tongue, Persian.
As you may be quite aware of the today's religious situation of Iran, and the current Islamic traditions practiced (and forced) everyday in the country, you might pretty well understand our will and enthusiasm of fighting against them. That is why as non-believers and Atheists, we have thought of doing a bit of that and help spreading the words of reason and logic via translating a good anti-dogmatism and thought provoking book; which after doing some research & taking some votes, we have came up with your book.
The not so great thing in the other hand is, that it isn't possible for any of us to legally publish anything, even remotely against the Islamic constitution within our country, not to mention publishing something that contains the phrase "God is not Great' in its title! :)
That's some thing that forces us to do the whole thing totally free of charge, and since this could be considered, and it really is in some sense, piracy, we hereby would also like to ask for your written permission to do so.
It would be a great honor and encouragement to hear your word and have your permission.
