آمار ها به طور کلی نشون میده به جز دو مورد زنان بیشتری نسبت به مردان در سوانح دریایی غرق شدند،آمارها نمیگن در سوانح دریایی درصد کمتری از مردان در100 سال گذشته میمیرند،بلکه میگه در همه موارد پژوهش و حتی قبل از تایتانیک جون زن ها ترجیحی به جون مردها نداشته و مردان بیشتری نسبت به زنان نجات پیدا میکردند.
